Ingredients:
· Besanflour - 2 cups
· Rice flour -¾ cup
· Red chilly pwd - ¾ tsp
· Coriander pwd - ¾ tsp
· Hing -a generous pinch
· Cuminpwd - ½ tsp
· Pepperpwd - ½ tsp
Saunf pwd - ¼ tsp
· Butter -1 tbsp
· Salt to taste
· Oil for deep frying
Method:
1. In a wide bowl , add besan flour and rice flour.
2. Add salt, red chilly pwd, coriander pwd, hing, cumin pwd, pepper pwd and saunf pwd.
3. Combine well.
4. Add butter and sprinkle water.
5. Knead it to soft dough.
6. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
7. Now heat oil in a skillet / kadai.
8. Grease the Karasev mould with oil.
9. Take a handful of Karasev batter and stuff inside the mould.
10. Press the mould directly on hot oil, so that long pieces of dough falls into the hot oil.
11. Fry until it turns crisp & golden brown in color, turning once in a while.
12. Drain on the paper towel.
14. Store in an air-tight container, when completely cool.
15. Enjoy with piping hot cup of coffee or chai..:)
