Capsicum Paruppu

Ingredients :
big capsicums 2 finely
chopped
tur dal 1 cup
grated coconut 1 cup
red chillies 2
mustard 1 teaspoon
jeera two teaspoons
a pinch of haldi
salt to taste
oil to fry.
method:
Soak tur dal with 1 teaspoon jeera and
the red chillies for half an hour.
Heat a frying pan and pour 1 tablespoon oil and add
mustard and jeera .
Add the cut capsicum , haldi and salt and
fry till done take out and . keep aside.
In the mean time coarse grind the soaked tur
dal and micro heat for 4 minutes .
Take the frying pan put the micro heated , coarsely
ground paste and saute till they become separated granules, add the
grated coconut and the cooked capsicum.
Keep it on stove for three minutes and switch off
the heat.
This can be had with roti, rice or eaten as it is .
Those who like to have garlic can add while cooking
the capsicum.
P.S
One can make a variety out of the same method, the vegetables that can be
tried are beans, cluster beans/ semi/papdi, avaraikkai cow pea/ karamani
/ kothavarangai, banana flower .
It can be a combination of Tur dal and Bengal gram ( chana dal) dal in equal proportion
