Cabbage, Carrot, Onion sabji


Ingredients :

1 medium  cabbage, finely chopped 

2 medium sized onions, finely chopped 

1 medium carrot chopped 

5-6  deseeded and finely chopped green chillies

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 cup grated coconut 

Salt to taste

3 tablespoon cooking oil



1 teaspoon sugar 

Method :

Heat the oil and add the mustard,chopped green chillies.

Now add the onions and fry till the onions turn  brown add 1 teaspoon sugar .

Add the cabbage, the carrot ,once the cabbage is half done add salt to taste and sprinkle water. 

Just before removing add the grated coconut.

 PS . If you feel like you can cook in coconut oil, can squeeze half a lemon .

If you have noticed turmeric is not added just to maintain the color of the cabbage
