Tender Hands -An Irony

Recently in Bangalore the Labour Minister  hosted a wedding party and many  poor children were employed as helpers in the kitchen and the minister feigns ignorance. It's an irony that the Labour minister turns a blind eye and looks the other way justifying his actions. He has the simple truth before his eyes to believe in what he sees!

Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression. Their flexibility makes them the easy target. The only remedy is to ensure that all children go to school and that their education is of good quality teaching "practical and useful" skills. All organizations caring for Children should walk the talk .

Nonetheless, and in contrast to the frequent lip service paid to child labour problems, the hands are used to building blocks rather than seen as blocks to build the nation.

Childhood comes only once in a life. We should allow it to bloom. Children are deprived of their most basic rights as children, including education and a joyful childhood. Most have never been to school or dropped out at very young ages. It's every citizen's duty to protect them from the hands that exploit them.
