9 Unexpected but Effective Health Hacks:

We all want to be healthy, but it's definitely not always an easy task. Junk food is so delicious and going to the gym is so hard. Luckily, we've found a few tricks that you can use to help you on your path to good health.

1- Curse to Relieve Pain:
Yup, it turns out that your potty mouth might actually do you some good health-wise. Swearing aloud has been found to reduce pain, so try it out at the gym when you think you can't do another rep. Try to be kind of quiet about it though, and away from other people.

2- The Benefits of Floss
You know how you always lie to your dentist and say that you floss? Well, maybe you should actually start flossing. Research has found flossing has a positive effect on your brainpower as well as your oral hygiene.

3- Scrub Produce with Baking Soda
Before you eat your fruits and veggies, you have to be sure that they're clean. A mixture of water and a few tablespoons of baking soda can easily remove the pesticides, dirt, and whatever else may be clinging to your produce.

4- Whiskey for a Sore Throat
If your throat is giving you any problems, then a bottle of whiskey is the cure. Mix a spoonful in with a glass of warm water and gargle to soothe a sore throat. Whiskey can also kill odor-causing bacteria in the mouth.

5- Reduce Appetite with Gum
If you're prone to eating throughout the day, then you've probably noticed a few health issues that have been associated with that. Chewing gum is a great way to curb your appetite and have you eating only at meal times.

6- Recharge with Cherry Juice
After a tough workout, you probably don't want to go back to the gym for a while. To recover quickly and naturally, drink some cherry juice.

7- Calm Your Nerves
We've all experience the feeling of nervous agitation before an important meeting, presentation, interview, or what have you. To clam your nerves and perform your best, try blowing on your thumb. Your thumb has its own pulse, so cooling it can calm your heart rate. This trick also gets you breathing more deeply which is another calming practice.

8- Pepper Your Cuts
Try putting black pepper on your next minor cut. Black pepper contains an antibacterial compound called piperine that stimulates healing.

9- Rub Your Ears
Instead of drinking another cup of coffee or energy drink when you're feeling sluggish, just rub your ears. Stimulating the pressure points in your ears can increase overall blood circulation and give you an instant energy boost.
